Sami Kallio

Sami Kallio, born in Helsinki in 1975 and raised in Sweden, is a renowned furniture and interior designer based in Gothenburg. He founded Sami Kallio Studio, where he merges traditional woodworking techniques, like compression moulding and woodturning, with modern industrial methods. His designs blend classical shapes with contemporary, industrial aesthetics, creating furniture that balances past and present. With a Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design from HDK in Gothenburg and Industriella högskolan in Helsinki, Kallio’s work emphasizes craftsmanship, detail, and function, appealing to a modern, design-conscious audience.
