“I get my inspiration from different areas between people and the artifact. Through different analyses, process and examination I search for the ‘true way’.
Markus Johansson was born in 1982 in Hyssna situated outside Gothenburg. He graduated from HDK, Gothenburg and now run his own companyMarkus Johansson Design Studio, which mainly focus on product design. There he collaborates with Hans K, Markslöjd, SEFB and Albin in Hyssna. Markus has also had furniture exhibits in London, Milan, Stockholm, Wien and New York. In the last mentioned he is also represented by Mad Museum of Arts and Design. For Markus design is about conveying a certain feeling that will affect people’s lives and enhances their every day life.
John-Bertil Häggström work as a freelance designer for a number of clients in Sweden as well as internationally. He is also a part of Designer SID (Society of Swedish Industrial Designers). John-Bertil work with most types of furniture for both private and public environment. Several of his models has been celebrated with awards – among those the Japanese G-design Award. The collaboration with Hans K has resulted in the collections Inzel, Geneve and Enter which all have been huge successes in Scandinavia.
Bo Armstrong is an educated architect and has worked with industry design throughout his professional life. He has a strong penchant for functional furniture and design for the public environment. He thinks that wooden chairs are extra fun to work with, since each material has its unique structure for developing and taking care of the design process. Bo Armstrong has developed around 40 chairs produced at various furniture companies, and it is still his challenge.

Bower Studio is an architectural and design agency, owned and operated by Oscar Gillkvist and Carl-Magnus Elander. Their intention is to integrate furniture design into architecture and interior design.

Works form his office in Helsingborg. Mainly works with interior design, furniture and product design for both private and public environments. With his background as a furniture craftsman he started his education within design at Stenebyskolan and after that at Carl Malmsten-Furniture Studies in Stockholm where he graduated in 2012. After studying interior design as an exchange student and Chelsea Collage of Art and Design in London his interest grew for the spatially which has been of huge significance in his design. – I find my inspiration in most things. It can be anything from the simple exchange in everyday life to a more complex creating process where you omit from a need, material or a technique. Since the start of my company in 2013 I have started collaborations with companies in both Sweden and internationally. I have also drawn products or whole concepts for different companies, including the interior furnishing for the praised restaurant Daniel Berlin in Skåne-Tranås.

Sami Kallio – Interior and furniture designer from Gothenburg. Sami Kallio Studio. Born in Helsinki in 1975 and a MFA in interior design from HDK (Gothenburg) and Industriella högskolan (Helsinki). Sami Kallio Studio design furniture and equipment with focus on high quality, details and function which takes good knowledge and experience with handcraft and product development. – To work in practical with the product is important to me when it is in the workshop everything happens and develops to perfection.
Madeleine Jonsson, born 1992 in Nyköping. Studying painting at Dômen Art School in Gothenburg. She works most with illustration and painting, but is also interested in product design. In her process, Madeleine is looking forward to socially critical issues, often with feminism as a starting point.
Sara Karlsson, born 1992 in Nyköping. Studying Image and Space Design at KV Art School in Gothenburg, which is an education for art, design and architecture. Sara works in both 2D and 3D. She works extensively with color, shape and material, and gladly highlights important social issues in her design.
Josephine Aspenrot, born 1989 in Gothenburg. The interest in architecture and design has been around since childhood. She studies Image and Space Design at KV Konstskola where she focuses her projects on furniture and product design. "With inspiration from Nordic nature and curiosity for contrasts, I want to develop designs that raise interest".
Madeleine, Sara and Josephine studied Interior Design at Art College in Gothenburg, and this was where the first prototype of the Zig Zag Lounge was designed.
